 Norwegian Wood : TreArken Museum

In collaboration with Arch. Tiziano Rumori I developed the project for the new National Flute Museum and Center for Wetlands in Norway.

Trearken is our vision for a versatile and inviting museum that seamlessly blends with the natural landscape.

Rooted in Scandinavian culture, it embodies informality, sustainability, and human-friendliness. The building, featuring interconnected volumes under a unified roof, fosters a fluid connection between inside and outside.

With its low height and natural materials, it harmonizes with the surroundings, creating an accessible and welcoming atmosphere.

The outdoor spaces, activated by various functions, encourage public engagement and offer diverse experiences.

Trearken aims to be a dynamic and harmonious hub, promoting education, sustainability, and seamless integration with nature.

The wooden columns also draw threads for log rafting as a concept, and the building thus reflects the history and culture of log rafting
