Reviving History: Renovation of a Tuscan Palazzo

This Tuscan Palazzo is a captivating Art Nouveau residence dating back to the early 1900s, graces one of the most enchanting locales within Tuscany.

With its rich history and architectural charm, this partially renovated villa spans three levels and is surrounded by the lush beauty of an Italian garden.

Through thoughtful design and meticulous attention to detail, we seek to honor the villa’s illustrious past while ushering it into a new era of modern luxury and comfort.

Our project aims to highlight the inherent potential of the villa by revitalizing its spaces to infuse them with enhanced functionality and exclusivity.

Before

While the exterior of the building maintains its historic charm, the interior requires a more functional reconfiguration.

This floor has been reimagined to enhance the living space, seamlessly integrating the living, dining, and kitchen areas for a more expansive and interconnected feel.

Groundfloor

On the ground floor, a large entrance hall connects the different rooms, including a bright living room, a spacious kitchen with a dining room, and a beautiful fireplace.

My design carefully integrates new materials with the original 1900s tiled flooring and beautifully decorated vaulted ceilings, preserving timeless elegance while improving the space’s functionality and modern comfort

First floor

The existing first-floor layout consists of four connected bedrooms and a single bathroom.

The new design reimagines the space to prioritize luxury and privacy. It introduces a spacious master bedroom with a fireplace, private living area, bathtub, spa-like bathroom, and walk-in closet.

Additionally, two large bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom and walk-in closet, further emphasize comfort and exclusivity.

The Attic

The attic is envisioned as a secluded retreat, a private studio, or an atelier. Its design promises an inspiring and tranquil workspace, ideal for various creative pursuits.

Natural light floods in through the existing skylight, casting a soft glow, perfect for artistic endeavors.

Moreover, the attic offers direct access and a captivating view of the vaulted ceiling, inviting exploration along the balcony created over the vaults.

This unique vantage point allows occupants to admire the architectural beauty from a new perspective.

The Annex - Swimming pool house

The annex now used as storage has been transformed into the pool house, a versatile space, adaptable for warm-weather gatherings by the pool, such as dinners and parties, or alternatively serving as a guest house. The old wood oven is turned into a wine cellar.

This multifunctional approach ensures maximum utility and enjoyment for residents and guests alike.
